FS: Barber Tone Press

Question:
I'll just post this here to see if there is any interest. BillSPreston has a hold on it but if anyone else is interested please tell me.
It's in brand new condition, comes with manuel. Everything works great, no cosmetic issues at all. I'm asking $125ish including shipping, it goes $140 new and this is basically new. PM me if you are interested or have questions.

It's no longer on hold. Any takers? I'm willing to negociate on the price.
Answer:
why are you getting rid of it?
Answer:
I don't use it much anymore. I've improved my lead technique enough to not need that extra "boost" of sustain. If anyone is interested, please PM.
Answer:
so, work with me:
when i play clean, my amp is very sensitive to attack, too sensitive for my taste, in fact. if you hit the string a little too hard, the amp kinda "jumps" on the note, and it doesn't sound good. i'm asuming this is from too high of an input signal, (i suspest that my pickups are way hot, but haven't measured it) but cutting the volume helps only a little, ill effects are still there. would a compression pedal even out the input and eleminate this? i'm not after sustain, i've got that part nailed.
building 429_boy, if my suspicions are confirmed, i might be interested, although it'd be a while before i'd be able to buy it off you, you might be better off to keep looking.

What a compressor does is pretty much amplify the lower volume things, such as successive hammer on's and pull offs, then cuts high volume things, such as pick attack and stuff. So, if that is the problem you are having, it could cure it. I'll play around with it to see what I can do by turning my amp's treble high to get a pick attack sound and see if the Tone Press helps.
