Footswitch for my amp
Question: I need to find a footswitch for a Fender Power Chorus. There's only one problem, there doesn't appear to BE ONE! I assume it would have Channel/Boost/Chorus, but I'm not 100% sure. If anyone knows where or how to get one, or if you can, that would be great. Answer: there is one...at least there's a jack for it. i would try to email Fender and see if any of their existing three button switches will work for that amp. Answer: Have you tried eBay yet? That might be worth a shot. You could also look around for a "non-Fender" brand footswitch to use instead (I'm _pretty_ sure this wouldn't void your warrenty, but of course if that is important to you, you will want to check). Answer: Any generic three button footswitch should work. Well, I take that back. It depends if it is a nine pine footswitch or a standard 1/4 inch in. Answer: Warranty isn't an issue since I got the amp used, and it's over 10 years old anyways, and I'm now selling it. It takes a 1/4 inch for the footswitch. It actually came with a two button footswitch for channel and reverb when I got it, but that didn't do me any good since it left the chorus on all the time when it was plugged in and the reverb button didn't do a thing. I'm pretty sure that WASN'T the original footswitch, and I've since sold that with another amp. Answer: A generic 3 button one should work. You should be able to essentially use any 3 button footswitch with it, if it's a 3 button one. Asking Fender first would be a good idea. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
