SOLD: Line 6 Spider II 112

Question:
It's in mint condition, never had problems, comes with original instructions and box. Can get very loud if needed, and sounds great a low volume too. Pics here.
Price: Best offer, will be close to the price new, but less.
Answer:
Okay, I'll give a little review of the amp here. This review is based on my experiences with my Spider II 1x12 amp, with a stock Yamaha Pacifica guitar.
Features: 10/10
  • Clean/Twang/Blues Amp Models
I'm really impressed with the clean channel on this amp, and how the EQ will really affect the tone. The clean/blues/twang amp models can get you a huge variety of clean sounds. The Twang model has some of that telecaster "twang" to it, but not as much as you would get with a real tele. These three settings are great for a semi-acoustic sound, and also P&W music.
  • Crunch/Metal/Insane Amp Models
This is what the amp is really made for. The Crunch model will get you that "clean channel breakup", and is also GREAT for P&W music that isn't totally clean. The Metal model is what I use most for all my distortion. This model can go anywhere from light distortion to screaming metal. The Insane model is pretty much the Metal model except with even more gain.
  • Noise Gate/Gain Boost
I don't know where this amp would be without the noise gate. It is a lifesaver! If you are at high volume/gain levels with out the Noise Gate, there will be lot's of hiss. But, with it on, the amp is SILENT when not being played. The Gain Boost feature is great for giving the amp a boost for solos, but I don't really use it much.
  • Reverb/Effects
This is one of the reasons I bought this amp over the Vox Valvetronix because the reverb and effects are great. I thought the Vox's effects were just subpar, and didn't sound great at all. The Line 6's effects and reverb sound great.
  • The EQ
Like I said above, the EQ will define the tone you get out of this amp. It really changes the sound drastically, which gives the amp an even larger variety of tones available to the user.
  • 4 Programmable Channels
This feature is really cool, because it's almost like have a 4 channel amp. All you have to do is hold down the channel button (A,B,C, or D) and it saves all the settings that you have on the amp at the moment, including effect settings.

Reliability: 10/10
This amp has never died on me. Ever. It's very well built, and I've never had a problem with it. This thing could definatly go on the road with no problem.
Overall: 10/10
This amp can get loud for only a 1x12, 75w. I don't dare go over 5 on volume in my basement. But, it also sounds great a very low volumes, great for practicing. If you need a very versatile amp, this is the one for you.

For those curious, the new price is $300.
I have heard Spiders in use (the first version) and they are quite nice.
Just thought I'd throw that in as a recommendation from someone who has nothing to gain from the sale. If I didn't have a good amp, I'd be seriously considering this offer.
Answer:
... ditto. I played one of these, and I liked it so much better than my vox.
Answer:
If anyone would like more information, please PM, IM, or email me. I'd be glad to answer any questions regarding the amp. I'm not desperate to sell the amp, so I'm not going to go "cars salesman" on you.
I'll give it a few weeks on here before it goes to Craigslist, then possibly ebay. If you have any interest, please contact me.
Answer:
Let me guess. Your selling so you can buy a tube amp?
Answer:
No. I'm selling because I've bought a tube amp.
Answer:
Ahh. Now that explains it.
Answer:
I was playing around the settings today, found some more cool tones. I'm going to make some recordings hopefully on the weekend.
Answer:
Bump. I made some recordings, they were all going:
Guitar -> Amp -> Lineout -> PC (Line in)
I'll upload these in a second.
EDIT: All were recorded with no pedals.
Answer:
I'll go ahead and add my opinion. I use one of these nearly every week in church, and I am amazed at the sound you can get. Sure, a tube amp is better, and you can find them in this price range. However, if you are determined to get some features for the money, I think this is the best thing you'll find. With a willingness to sit down for a while and just mess around with models and EQ, you can get some pretty darn good sounds. I wish I could post some samples of what i've done.

Is it footswitchable? Any price change?

It is footswitchable, but I never bought the footswitch. Right now I'm looking for around $280 shipped. (Yes, that's shipped. Shipping will probably be $30)

not trying to start anything, but ive seen these go for probably 70$..and no more than $200ish. i just know that if it were me...i'd just spend 20$ more and not have to worry about shipping abuse, or even wait time. just a heads up. good luck with the sale.

They go on eBay for $250.
And you can't get any newer than mine unless you buy one new... I have the original packaging, box, manuel, etc.
