Looking for Multi effects board
Question: I need suggestions. Right now I'm looking at the Boss ME-50 - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...cts?sku=151304 Here's my vice though. I tried the PodXT Live. Loved the sound, hated the setup. I want something that will function like a pedal board, where I can assign an effect to each individual switch instead of making your setup sounds to the switchs. Pretty much, I want the feel of having all my favorite pedals infront of me. Is there anything available like this? Answer: Check out the Vox Tonelabs Se.Our church/me and the other guitarist tried the pod xt live sound ws ok but man then we tried the tonelabs and we knew it was the one and all the stuff is there at your feet and if u have any questions feel free to pm me. Answer: I had the ME-50 for a long time. It was built very tough, very reliable and versatile. One thing about the Boss is that you only have 3 live settings but there are a total of like 30 settings. I encourage you to try one out. Answer: If I may ask- why don't you use it anymore? Answer: if you can afford it....http://www.tcelectronic.com/G-System. ive heard amazing things. Answer: Originally Posted by Kato If I may ask- why don't you use it anymore? I sold it because I decided I didn't need all the effects and that I could just buy a few single pedals, which is what I did. Answer: dont get the me-50 the gt-6 is way better for just a little bit more. Answer: line 6 pod xt live. best multi FX pedals Answer: Lets not throw out the possibility of the DigiTech GNX series. I have the GNX2 and the only thing that I have not liked about it so far is not having a dedicated tap-tempo for live use. That problem is fixed with the GNX3000, GNX3, and GNX4. (The 3000 is the newer version of the GNX3) I think that is around what you are looking for. Answer: Okay, let me restate something I said. I do NOT want something like The Pod XT live, or the Boss GT6. I don't want individual banks where I can assign multiple effects. I want a board where I can assign one effect to a single button, and use it like a pedal board- like the ME-50. The problem with the XTLive was that you can only have one bank on at a time, which limits what you're doing. But.. 1500 is a bit out of my range Answer: Whats wrong with going through a few menus to dial in your tone? Those boards mentioned (GNX, XT Live) have more "live" footswitches that are programmable. You don't like the thought of digital menus? Answer: Originally Posted by Kato Okay, let me restate something I said. I do NOT want something like The Pod XT live, or the Boss GT6. The XT Live gives you 4 types of effects (amp, stomp, mod, delay) that are switchable, plus a wah/volume, plus some menu-editable effects (reverb, compressor, etc). And then on top of that, you can switch patches and change which effect pedals and settings those stompbuttons control. Answer: Alright. Maybe the representive at Guitar Center poorly explained the PodXTLive to me. What he showed me was, The "Amp" button contorled amp models, stomp was my effects I wanted, Mod was different amp modifications (which now I think about it doesn't make sense), and delay being only a small choice of effects you can assign. Can I actually set it up where the 4 effects can be setup up where as Amp = Distortion Stomp = Overdrive Stomp = Chorus, and delay = delay and so on? Answer: poorly explaind, sounds like the guy we got at GC.He kept telling us that it was awesome and all this and doing whatever he could do to get us to buy it but then were like hey lets try that tonelabs and they guys like no you wont like that it doesnt have the sound your lookin for.10 min l8er we bought it and we were on the podxt live for an hour.HE was trying to get us to buy it cause it was good for recording but thats not what we wanted it for but thats not and he wouldnt listen like we had to get a diffrent guy to help us with the tonelabs cause the japanese dude wouldnt help us cause he didnt like that effects board.so yeah dont listen to them get what u get or want dont listen to them.
