cry baby pedal

Question:
I just got a cry baby.....im still trying to figure it out....i dont know if it doesn't work or if its just me...i know the guitar well but for some reason i just cant figure out this pedal. what do i do....man i feel dumb.
Answer:
I used one over Christmas (I don't own one), and here's how it worked.
The pedal rocks back and forth, but has no effect unless its "engaged."
To "engage" the pedal, you have to stomp on the top part of it with your heel kinda hard (this was weird for me, coming from a position of not liking brute force when it comes to gear - but it seems that these switches are built for brute force).
To diengage the pedal (bypass), you stomp on it again, just as above.
Hope that helps you out.
Nate
Answer:
yeah that will probably help since i did not know that...thanks a lot
Answer:
I got mine 2 christmas's ago, and i thought it was broken. Just got to push it good and hard so it clicks
Answer:
When the wah isn't engaged it acts as a volume pedal.

this is true on some wah models, but not on most
Answer:
I would not recommend using your heel to switch the pedal on and off. Just put your foot on it like you would to rock it back and forth and push your toe down until it clicks. Hitting it with your heel seems imprecise (you could miss) and liable to damage the pedal.

It's that way for my crybaby, and from what he said that's what he has.

YES very true. I should have pointed that out.
