Question: Today while at a pawnshop about an hour away from home I saw a boss noise reducer. I asked the guy how much it was and he said "oh, that thing. I will give it to ya for $30" I got really exited because after figuring ut how noisy the jekyyl and hyde was I needed a noise reducer. It is awsome and it has other uses to. I was exited, so I thought I should tell all of ya'alls Answer: Originally Posted by jamforchrist123 Today while at a pawnshop about an hour away from home I saw a boss noise reducer. I've been considering getting one, but the main reason I want a better distortion is that mine causes a bit of noise on bypass. Answer: It gets noisy when you have the gain up all the way. But even if you combine the price of say... a rocktron hush nd the jekyll and hyde, it is still worth it. IT sounds awsomer than the word "gerbal". Answer: Originally Posted by jamforchrist123 IT sounds awsomer than the word "gerbal". Well, I should hope. Answer: i think most pedals get noisy when you crank the gain up very high Answer: im glad you like it. for thirty bucks, you cant go wrong. some people swear by them, and others hate them, so be sure and review it later? as for the J&H, visual sound isnt known to be overly noisy.. maybe its your amp or drive channel? Answer: Originally Posted by omensixaxe as for the J&H, visual sound isnt known to be overly noisy.. maybe its your amp or drive channel? i've found that mine is overly gainy at high gain/volume settings...basically it takes whatever you put into it and makes it bigger. if your setup is already noisy, then the J&H is going to increase that noise level...if it's a noise-free setup, you're good to go. And the bypass doesn't introduce any noise that i can detect. as far as i'm concerned the bypass is noiseless. Answer: I just put the noise reducer right after the J&H so it doesn't screw with the other pedals. they arn't noisy. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
