jeckl and hyde dist. pedal. (sp?)
Question: ive noticed that some people have this overdrive/distortion pedal, it looks cool, but it the distortion heavy and strong? I need somthing powerful thaaaaaanks Answer: Jekyll & Hyde. I've heard one and the distortion is strong, but not enough for extreme metal and hardcore. Answer: ya, it can get pretty heavy, but it is not metal or anything, dispite what they say.. Answer: Whaz yer amp? Answer: well i dont play metal.. i just dont want weak distortion.. i play like classic rock I have a fender frontman15 (im working on it!!!) luckily my friends and church have amps i can use. Answer: Its not weak, but it is not metal, so I would say it is for you! somebody here that has one could probably make a recording of how heavy it goes for you. Answer: Well, even with the best pedals, a Fender Frontman ain't going to sound very powerful. Answer: agreed, put the money somewhere where its more urgently needed. Answer: Yup, a pedal won't solve tone problems if you have a cheap amp. Much better to save and get a good one, then get pedals to make it more vertisile. Answer: thanks... im thinking about a marshall Answer: mmm...maybe, ive been dissapointed with marshall in recent years. not quite so good QC and it seems like they are riding on a name more than anything else. but i say that now, talk to me again when im standing in front of a friends JCM800. Answer: what are some better amps...half stacks? Answer: Originally Posted by mmmthasgood1 what are some better amps...half stacks? do you need a half-stack? most players need a half-stack like they need a gun shot wound to the face. Answer: What Steve means to say, is that you probably don't need a halfstack unless you're playing unmic'd to a big auditorium. Which means, you want a good combo. What would be your price range? Answer: im a noob when it comes to amps... well then, any amp, that i can easily run other effects into. Under a thousand. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
