Question: I just picked me up a Line 6 Dl-4. I thought i had decided not to get on of these bad boys, but after playing around with it i bought it. i sounds really nice running through my amp Answer: Originally Posted by wesley7777 I just picked me up a Line 6 Dl-4. It's the most useful effect pedal for me. Some of the settings have volume drop issue but then again, compared to what that little green box can do it's not such a big deal. I need a delay as well. Answer: cool. i get mine friday Answer: Nice. Just one question though, for a few bucks more you could have got a Pod XT Live, is there a reason you went with the Dl-4? I am thinking of sending mine into Keeley, not because I don't like it, but it just seems like he touches everything with a golden soldering-iron. I'm def. looking into the Java boost and the Modded Blues driver, (have you been able to play either???) Answer: Originally Posted by wesley7777 Really? I have not noticed that problem yet. I am really into single effects and just really don't need all the other junk on it. Quick question. Can i run my bass through the DL-4? I really like the effects you run. As for both those pedals i have not gotten to play through them but i plan to send my blues driver to him in a few months. brad paisley and john mayer both use it so i can't go wrong there. Right now i still want to add a AnalogMan chorus, Fulltone Deluxe Wah, hermida zendrive, xotic rc boster, red witch tremolo and i think my boards will be done. at least i think, though i could have forgot something Answer: Originally Posted by Hellfighter ....yes, he likes tone. but seriously, the XT is good for doing a lot of things, but it pales in comparison to a well set up pedalboard (especially with the level of quality things Wesley is using) I strongly disagree with that, but that is a discussion for another thread. As for the DL-4, congrats! I prefer my DD-20, but it is a good unit. Answer: Originally Posted by PianoMan I strongly disagree with that, but that is a discussion for another thread. THe way you adjusted the time with the knob drove me crazy, push down for a lot or not for a little. Just not me Answer: Well, it also has tap-tempo and the ability to plug in a tap-tempo pedal. Those are what I use. Answer: awesome Answer: Originally Posted by Hellfighter That is sweet wesley, we might end up with identical boards pretty soon! haha. I'm def. looking into the Java boost and the Modded Blues driver, (have you been able to play either???) I have a Keeley modded Blues Driver. Like my LP, I played it for a while and put it aside in favor of my Tonebone for nearly a year. I was seriously considering selling it. In the last three weeks, I set it up on my board just to give it another chance and now have a number of different types of overdrive and distortion at my command - the amp gain channel, the BD and the Tonebone. I can also combine these for a different flavor although I don't know how much I like any combination of these. Just recently, I think I found the sweet spot on the BD and am loving it. Before I got the Tonebone, I was relying on the BD and can tell you that it really does make a difference to have Mr. Keeley work his touch on it. However, it took me awhile before I figured out where I should be on the controls. It seems to have responded very nicely with the EMG's on my JB Tele. However, it takes time and patience to figure these things out. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
