I'm curious what you other J & H users set your volume levels at on the J & H. I know it's dependent on gain levels, but give me your averages. I know on mine it seems like I have to set the volumes really low so that when I switch to clean I can still hear it. I dont play with high levels of gain either. J is usually set on about 1/4 and H 1/2 to 3/4.

ok...i'm looking at my J&H right now...though it may have been bumped around in the gear case and thus these answers may not actually be my volume settings
but right now my J side (i use it as a gain boost, so the drive is at the zero point) has a volume of just under 12 o'clock, and the Hyde around 9:30/10'oclock

It sounds like we're not that far off from each other. I thought it was kind of strange that I had to keep the levels so low, but it sounds like others do to.

i had the silver J&H and my volume level pre-mod was also a tad above 9 o'clock
i don't quite remember what setting i placed the level after i modded it, but i doubt it would have been be relevant information.
bob wiel also admits to the J&H being a very loud pedal...i believe he offers mod values to adjust the J&H's overall output. i don't think it's that big a deal though...
