Best MULTI EFFECTS processor ;)

Question:
I think it would be Vox ToneLab with Valvetronix modeling....
Answer:
I'd say the Digitech GNX4
Answer:
I'd say Line 6 Pod XT Live! Hmph!

Answer:
i'd say this thread is cheap...because no one is saying why.
Answer:
Exactly.
Answer:
Line 6 Pod XT Live is the best.
Answer:
the vox has the best tone of all the multi-effects, but its doesnt have as many cool features as the Boss Gt-8.
Answer:
I would go for the Line 6 POD XT stuff (XT and Live are the same thing, just different housing and use). Why? Well, in the right hands they sound incredible. Just listen to Lincoln Brewsters tone. Add to that the fact that he (a fully qualified sound engineer) has done a blindfolded test comparing several amps against their POD XT models, and could not tell the difference...
In my mind, if you can't tell the difference, then you can't get any better (at least as far as modeling goes).
Answer:
The Pod XT is probably the most versitile. However nothing sounds as real as the Vox. With the XT all digital modeling has come a very, very long way. My next multi effect pedal will probably be the XT Live.
Answer:
While we're on the subject... I'm seriously considering getting a Pod XT Live. Any other similar priced products I should check out (I'm thinking like $350 or less)?
Answer:
if you have 1500 to spend the best multi FX processor has to be the TC electronics GForce

Does anyone know anything about the Digitech GNX3000?
Answer:
The GNX3000 is the one I am thinking of getting (perhaps even this weekend). If I do, I will let you know what I think of it.

Here is a review of the leading big name multi effects: http://www.thestompbox.net/Home/View...x?ArticleID=21

The reviews I have read say that the GNX3000 or GNX4 have better amp models...far and above (or can be tweaked to be far and above) the POD and the GT-8. I have heard super things for the POD if used as mainly an effects box before the amp.

GT-8 is crazy configurable. You can choose where every effect goes plus it has an effects send so you can add other individual pedals or even your guitar amps preamp, then back into the GT-8 signal chain and out to the speaker or direct or whatever. The complexity and flexibility is a great asset but also can be a big drawback.

Anyway, hope the article is helpful.
Answer:
TC electronics G-MAJOR + my mesa single rectifier
Who needs modelling
The beauty of the G-major is that it does not color my Mesa's tone whatsoever..
GREAT effects box. Shown here not in the rack case

Answer:
GFORCE DITTO DITTO DITTO
Although I really think the G-major is the best of both worlds : affordability, quality and features.
