Best Delay pedal under 350$

Question:
rebuilding my set up. got rid of the multi-effects. im going to check out some delay pedals next week. whats the best delay pedal i can buy for under 350$ ? it has to have tap tempo. i want the closest thing to what The Edge has, but his pedal is like 600$ im looking at the DD-20 and DL4 right now, but i kind of want something not many people have.
Answer:
Check out the Visual Sound H20.
Answer:
A boos DD-20 and a line 6 would be my choices
Answer:
maxon analog delays are my favorites...the AD-9 is ~$299 and the AD-999 is ~$357
okokok, seriously, if you don't want to spend that much money, i think your best bet is for analog sound is the SPF I-5 which is ~$200. For digital delay with features, you can't go wrong w/ the line 6.
hope you like what you get!

Answer:
If you were to spend around 150, the Line 6 Echo Park is by far the best sounding pedal with the most features in that price range.

Answer:
echoczar..by toneczar.just kidding. its probably the best delay out there...hah but it'll set you back 675$. but in your price range, you may want to try the EH Memory Man-230$ maybe? or the diamond memory lane, incredible analog delay...bit more pricey than your range though, i think its probably about low 400's$. maxons are also exceptional, as already stated. see if you can go analog, that would put you as close to the "edgey" type sound you made reference to. 350 bucks should be more than enough to find you one. good luck.
Answer:
I just got my Echo Park yesterday, but I really enjoy it. The Tape & Analog modes are both pretty good. They don't sound exactly like the real thing, but are very good. You rarely notice it's digital. Plus you can't get those kinds of delay times out of a real analog delay. If you have the extra money, i would recomend the DL4.
"something not many people have" is tough to find when it comes to delay. It's impractical for botique pedal makers to make digital delays, if for no other reason, because with that kind of stuff, you have to sell a ton of them to make them affordable and still profitable. Tap tempo on an analog delay is extremely difficult, though i've seen it somewhere.

i know the memory lane has tap tempo, but true, its rare to find on an analog delay.
Answer:
Yeah, the Memory Lane is an analog with tap-tempo. Instead of a normal knob for time, they designed a digitalized section to control tempo. Very hard to do, thus the rarity and high price, but worthwhile to those that want tap-tempo and real analog sound. I would definitly not mind getting one myself...

Answer:
There are one or two more. The Memory Lane is definitely the cheapest of them though. I remember that they ran for over 600$.
Answer:
Well, the EH Memory Man Deluxe goes on MF for $225 now. No tap tempo.
Answer:
i went and played the Line 6 DL 4 today, it sounded pretty good. I put some money down and im getting it friday. i really like that memory lane, but i'll wait till i get into a proffessional band to upgrade to that one.
Answer:
If you want that edge sound get a memory-man (actualy 2). that's what you hear on all of U2's early stuff.
