Reverb...
Question: Well. I said that my reverb sounded too hissy. My reverb has now decided to show my what a real hiss is. The reverb no longer works and just gives me a load of hiss. I think I have found the problem. If you look in the attachments where I have circled, the right one is missing a screw type thing. In the third picture you can see I have found it. It looks like the arrow side should be the top of it and the rest goes inside the reverb tank. Does anyone know how hard it would be to fix this? I would rather try and fix it myself before sending it back to musiciansfriend to get a new one. Answer: if all it is is a screw-in part, then all you should have to do is take the reverb out and screw it back it. Answer: It is not a screw in part. By the colring on the metal it looks like it is supposed to be soldered on. I am going to take it out and see what it looks like. Answer: Ok, new development. I shook the amp gently and while doing so something happened. It sounded like a spring got back into the right position. I turned on the amp and the reverb worked perfect. It sounds like the screw-like thing I found holds the spring in plce. Answer: If all fails, you can always get a new reverb tank. Accutronics tanks kick butt.
