Serious amp issues (I THOUGHT I GOT IT FIXED)!!!

Question:
hey people!!
i posted a while ago about my amp. it's a solid state kustom Lead SC III. it's a 2x12. it's like almost 30 years old, but gets some amazing sound. i've been having problems with it for a long time. the 1st channel works sometimes, other times, you get no sound at all. the 2nd channel sounds really dirty sometimes, but most of the time it sounds fine. i took it in about a month ago, and spent $82 fixing it. i thought they fixed it, but apparently not, any suggestions??

First, I would thoroughly clean the input jacks, just in case there is some 30 year old funk in there. Rubbing alcohol works good for that. The pots probably need to be cleaned also - again, isopropyl rubbing alcohol (the 91% kind) works good for that also. Or maybe the repair guy already did that... If that doesn't fix it, probably the most common cause of the type of problems you describe is a solder joint that has broken. Try smacking it in different ways while its on, and see if that makes it screw up or come on. If that seems to toggle the problem on and off, that's probably it.
Answer:
From what I alrady know of the situation, the repair guy besically did a good cleaning job, and replaced the jacks.
Answer:
that's correct, the guy cleaned it up really well, and replaced all the jacks.
