$150 to spend. What to get?

Question:
I'm not sure if this falls only in the "amp" category, but hey, I had to stick it somewhere.
Okay, so my church basically just bought me another Peavey 15W practice amp (my other one got stolen.) This is cool, church buying me an amp, and all, but I'm wanting a better sound than a 15W. They won't buy anything bigger: this is strictly replacing what was stolen from me.
So I have $150 of Christmas money (already ), and I'm wanting to get something that will make my sound better. At least, better than a little 15W will give me. Problem is, $150 isn't going to get me much more than that.
So basically, I have $150 to spend, and I want to spend it wisely. What should I get? Best case scenario I guess would be to find a decent, used combo on ebay or something. If I do end up buying a new amp, it will be used at church mainly. Right now, we mic my 15W Peavey with Shure SM57, into the sound board, and out through the PA speakers in our worship center. Our worship center is about half the size of your normal sanctuary, maybe a little bigger.
Don't get me wrong, I love my little Peavey, but I'm looking to get a better sound, but for cheap (impossible, I know.) Suggestions? Keep in mind, it doesn't neccesarily have to be a new amp (although that's what I'm thinking right now.) If you all know of any other hardware that would increase the "quality" of my sound, suggest it. The gear I use is in my sig.
Thanks guys.
Bryan
Answer:
Well, if you are determined to get something now, I would check out Kustom amps. Their small amps are awesome for the price.
However, my main recommendation would be to save for a while and get something really good. save up another 150$ and you might be able to get a Peavey Classic 30 - way better then anything you can get now.

if i was you i would keep what i had now and save more money to get something better. im sure the amp you have now is good enough huh?

The Peavey Rage 158 is strictly a practice amp. I use it for worship in a 100+ person room. Even when mic'ed, the sound...leaves a lot to be desired.
Answer:
Save your money. You won't get much for $150. Look into the $300-400 for a good tube amp.
Answer:
when you get enough, you should buy a peavey valveking. I played one not to long ago, it sounds really good.
Answer:
Line 6 Spider IIs sell for $150 used. That's the 75W 1x12" model.

You can find an old Marshall Valvestate 8240 for $200-250 usually.

I would reccomend saving a bit more as well, but if you really want to buy now, here's a few decent amps.
Vox Valvetronix 15 watt - 180 new
Vox Valvetronix 30 watt - 185 used on ebay
Epiphone Galaxie 10 watt tube - 150 new

ya, go with a valvetronix. Not everything is really good except for the effects.

Check out this Traynor amp on musiciansfriend.com, $151.20, plus free shipping, I'm thinking of buying one too, it's 40 watts, with 2-8" speakers and 2 channels, reverb and chorus, plus, you'll love this, it can drive a stack if you really want it to. Traynor

I do alot of recording. I also have a Peavey Rage 158, and I tend to use that more than my vox, crate, and marshall amps. Of course this is for recording and not live sound...so... yeah

That's the funny thing. I've got a job, it's just that after the bills (gas, car payment,) I have next to nothing left. Maybe enough for a date at the movies once a month. I run a pretty tight budget from the money I get, so when I get money for Christmas/Birthday, it's like: must...buy...something...now...
I like the look of that 2x20W Traynor, though. Has good reviews, enough wattage, and it's cheap...I'll have to think about that one.
I'm also looking at the Line 6 Spider II's (75W), like thesteve suggested. I could get a used one for around my price range. Anyone had experience with those?
