selling Fender cyber twin

Question:
Considering selling my Cyber Twin as it isn't the best fit for my musical needs. Nothing wrong with the amp, just want to get something a bit lighter.
Any suggestions on the best place to list it....I'm not thrilled about ebay.
thanks.
Steve
Answer:
sell it on ebay with no reserve. if you dont get enough for it have your friend be the highest bidder and then dont sell it to him. cant go wrong.

Except that's immoral, probably illegal as well... and'll likely get you kicked off eBay if found out.
Answer:
I'm not sure why you wouldn't be thrilled about eBay. I've seen used stuff go for much more than brand new stuff is available for (given enough searching to find the right retailer)... especially in things like electronics and musical instruments. Just look right now for Cyber Twin's on eBay and see how much they're generally going for in the condition yours is in.
Answer:
thats not immoral or illegal. because you still would pay the small ebay fees for the price that it sold for even though you didnt actually sell it. im not saying have your friend bid on it to purposely raise the price, that would be wrong. im just saying if your not getting what you want have a friend bid. nothing is wrong with that.

If you have a minimum price that you'd be willing to sell the amp for, then that should be either your reserve or your minimum bid. eBay intentionally makes it easy for people to guarantee that they'll get what they want for their products, but people are stupid and don't use it. It's dishonesty, plain and simple, not to make use of those amenities.
Answer:
people dont use it because you dont get as many bidders when you have a reserve price. you will get more bidders my way and you wont have to worry about selling for to less.

That's why you start your price about $10 under the minimum that you want. I did that with my ME-50. Started at $180, wanted $200. It went for $215. I was happy.

But the vast majority of people still won't bid more than they're willing to pay, so you have exactly the same problem if your wants and their wants clash. The only difference is that if you set a minimum bid or a reserve price, people know whether the price you want is reasonable given the price they want to pay.
