I can pick up the radio on my amp
Question: Seriously! Sometimes all I need is to have my amp on and I pick up WOOD 1300 from my local area! Does this happen to anyone else? Answer: something in your signal chain is either poorly shielded or poorly grounded. Answer: Search "radio" in this forum. It happens a lot. Answer: Originally Posted by Jenacen Seriously! If so that's weird. usually bad cables into cheap effects pick up radio stations. Answer: Originally Posted by thesteve something in your signal chain is either poorly shielded or poorly grounded. If something weren't grounded right, wouldnt you be getting shocks thru your guitar, or something? I haven't gotten the radio since I got my new amp, but my Marshall was a plain old radio station antenna when I played around downtown Seattle. Answer: My old bass amp did it. My new vox advt-50 does it too when I plug into my danelectro FAB overdrive. Which is an extermly cheap pedal. I wonder if there is some difference in weather or not the amp picks up AM or FM radio (one of my friends, their amp picks up FM, but a set of cables I was stringing for a video project at my church picked up AM signals).
