Online Parts Store
Question: I was looking for a JJ tube for my forthcoming Epiphone amp (see other thread) and I found this store: https://secure.tubesandmore.com/ They have a ton of amp parts and supplies and as far as I can tell they are pretty cheap - I got the tube for $10.50 where other places had them for 13.95 or 14.95. Just wanted to share Answer: wow...great prices...but i wonder if they test them like the other companies supposedly do. a 6L6GC (the tubes I got from Eurotubes) are $12.95 a piece (on that site), but it doesn't look like they'll match them, and they won't disclose shipping charges. How much did you have to pay for S&H? How much did you have to pay for S&H? Actually they do offer tube matching for 1.25, not bad I'd say. They say they charge standard UPS rates which will probably come to about $3 in my case. They had an estimator during the checkout process but I didn't bother to check it to be honest. Answer: Originally Posted by Dave H Actually they do offer tube matching for 1.25, not bad I'd say. I guess it doesnt' matter though...my set of tubes from Eurotubes came in the mail just right now Answer: Originally Posted by thesteve maybe i didn't dig far enough into the site, but it didn't look like i could get matched 6L6GCs, just one tubes. But, like you say it doesn't matter Now, if only my amp would hurry up and get here Answer: Originally Posted by Dave H WEll, maybe it depends on what brand...if you look under JJs it offers matching right under the description. But, like you say it doesn't matter Now, if only my amp would hurry up and get here after matching it would've cost about the same. My tubes were $14.50 a piece, $10 for a balanced 12ax7 and $8 a piece for the two other 12ax7s Answer: Originally Posted by thesteve after matching it would've cost about the same.
