Vox VR15
Question: I got the Musician's Friend Christmas catalog today, and I saw the Vox ValveReactor 15w for $99! Is this amp any good? I think it would work well with my lead tone + it would be much better to take to a friend's house to jam and stuff. Any experiences with this amp? Last time I went to GC, they didn't have them. I will have to try one out soon. Answer: This is from what I know. (it might not be right, just my take on it) And please forgive me if this isn't helpfull. From what I know it sounds a little better than the valvetronix series, minus the effects. FWIK it has decent tube tone too, not like a orange or anything (duh). I would think it would sound better than your spiderll, but I havent played a spider either. Hoep that helps. Answer: also, for $100, you can't really lose for a little jam amp. Answer: Yeah, I was thinking that as well. I owned the ADVT 15 for awhile, but I didn't like the effects at all. But, the tone was very nice when it came to lead. I think I will seriously consider looking into the amp. There was only 1 review on HC, it wasn't bad at all. Answer: DO you think you will get it? Answer: Good question. I still have to look at my finance situation and see if I really need it right now. Maybe, maybe not. I'll just wait and see. Answer: I think for another $50 you should get the 30W version. If I didn't have 4 amps already and wasn't saving for a large tube amp, I would love to get this amp. If for no other reason, it looks cool Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
