Wah Problems

Question:
Well, as i'm getting a new pedalboard for Christmas, I decided to do some pedal order changing just for the heck of it. When I did this though, I came across a problem. When I finally got everything in order and plugged in, my wah started giving off a lot of buzzing noise that shifted pitch with the pedal whether it was on or off. I tried everything I could think of to get rid of it, from changing the battery, to checking every soldering connection in the pedal, and blowing all the dust out of the mechanisms. It partially worked in that it now doesn't change pitch with the wah when it is off. Now it still buzzes a bit, but it makes everything break up now in a very bad sounding way. Anyone have any ideas on what I might do to fix this? Or maybe I should simply move up my pedal purchase plans and use my Christmas money to get a Teese Wizard wah?

I'll tell you, I get that whenever I place my distortion before the wah. Solution: place distortion after the wah. In fact, the wah should be the, or one of the first pedals in your chain.
Again, this is one of those "my experience only" answers. It may not solve your problem. But try running the guitar direct into the wah, then amp, and see if that eliminates the issue.

Not sure what the issue is, but if you decide to get a new wah, I wouldn't mind having that one show up on my doorstep...

Probably should have said this - my previous setup had it after my compressor and OD/Dist. Now it is the first pedal in my chain. (or was...)
And I did already try it alone, guitar to it to the amp. Still didn't work.

Tell you what...if I do get a new one then I will give it to you for free IF...you come and get it from me...
Actually, while that would preferable (cause it would be cool to finally meet you), I realize that you can't just drive down, so I might just settle for you paying shipping and i'll give it to ya. I've got its box and everything. It would be easy enough.

Well, since I have been unable to find the problem, I have gone ahead and ordered a Teese wizard wah. Really I think that will end up being the better solution, as I do use my wah a lot. It's just so darn expensive...
So Jon, if you want the Vox, just send me a PM or grab me on AIM.
