Hey, anyone here have or have any experience with the Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive? I was wondering if this pedal is used specifically as a boost pedal beings is has the clean knob on it? I know the lead guitarist from Hillsong's praise band has a few voodoo labs in his rig so they must be desent pedals.

The Sparkle Drive splits your signal into a boosted clean part and an overdriven part. It can be used solely as a clean boost, solely as an overdrive, or to mix the two signals into a unique sound.

Well, I mainly want to get it for Praise Band at church for a bunch of teens so do you think it is a good pedal for that reason?

i have the sparkle drive built into my gnx 3. i use it mainly as an added boost on my overdrive channel of my amp when i go into leads. it has a really smooth sound. the clean knob is very useful because it gives this pedal such a variety of tones. its great for rhythm and lead sounds.

Where I live (North Jacksonville), I have tried all of the guitar stores and non seem to have the sparkle drive there so it is pretty much impossible to give it a test run and also i don't know anyone with one, the only person i have heard of that acutually uses one is John Mayer. so, i am pretty much just relying on you guys and the few sample sounds that musicians friend has to tell me if it is good or not. Also, I'm not looking for a extremly distored pedal, i just want a nice, warm, smooth overdrive. thanks for all your help!
