Volume Pedals

Question:
I've got a question for you folks:
I'm looking at picking up a volume pedal to add to my "rig" of sorts. Do any of you have a volume pedal that you're a really big fan of (or had a volume pedal that you had to dump because it frustrated you)? Tell me about it!
Nate
Answer:
Ernie Ball makes one of the best volume pedals. The only downside is that it is expensive. Some companies that build pedal steel guitars (sho-bud, goodwrench(sp.?), DeArmond (vint.) & others) also make volume pedals. I would stay away from plastic volume pedals, they don't seem very durable. Most of them look like they are made by the same company, but there can be a large price difference (just in the name). A good metal pedal will last alot longer, and parts can be replaced (instead of the whole thing).
Hope that helps,
Lee

That did help! Thanks!

I have a ErnieBall petal........the thing is tuff (i know its spelled wrong, i had a brain freeze)
It works really well, mine even has a place for a tuner. This is when its off, your board can still "hear" it.
I've dropped it from about waste highth (yea, i know, this one two) on to concrete and all it did was put a little scrape in it
Hope this is some good advice (without a lot of spelling errors)
Adios,
Daniel
Answer:
I like Dunlop High Gain Volume but the Ernie Ball passive volumes pretty good.

Hey, I finally did add a volume pedal to my rig this past year (a full 3 years or so after posting...). It's an Ernie Ball Jr.

Just got a Rocktron HEX. It's built like a tank and will double as a MIDI expression controller if you would like it to.

I mindlessly just moved this to the effects forum, and didn't even realize that it was over 3 years old...
Clopsed.
