which delay.

Question:
so im contemplating on which delay pedal i should get..price isn't a real factor but deciding is.. the Line 6 Echo Park.. or the Boss DD-6. Echo Park seems to have a lot of different variations of delay and the Boss has some cool features like HOLD . and smashing guitar just got a Ibanez AD-9 RI. which i havn't really heard much of..so anyone??
Answer:
Price range? That would have a rather large bearing on this.
Answer:
I've always had good luck with Boss pedals......best sound and most accurate delays....I have an older DD and Pitch Shifter pedal and it still sounds better than some of the effects modules out now. Just my 2c worth......by the way my first post as well.
Answer:
My vote is for the dd-6. I just picked one up and I love it to death. Lot's of Radiohead sounds come out of it. The hold feature is cool, but a little bit hard to use. Check them all out at guitar center though, and then decide which one you want.
Answer:
I'd say the Line 6. To me, it sounds the most analog, and the tap tempo is very quick and easy to use.

I figure I may as well give an opinion. Of what you said, I would likely go for the Boss or the Line 6, as both are excellent. However, if you have the money, I would recommend going for a Boss DD-20 - the best delay Boss makes. It has a bunch more features then the DD-6, including more tweakability, more sounds, multiple memory places for settings, and a 21 second record/playback function. I personally own one and love it!

+1. If you have the cash, Mr. Man's idea is a good option.

Answer:
Line 6 Echo Park. Hands down.
Answer:
for those who own a line 6 echo park or know about this stuff...how come the pedal has those 3 functions? tape analog and something else..i forgot, what does each mean or do?
Answer:
and if you can I would actually go with the Line-6 DL-4, don't care for the echo-part too much and the scrolling for functions on the DD-20 drove me nuts.... I also like the tone of the DL-4 better, but that is always a subjective thing meaning you have to try it out.
Answer:
WHICH DELAY...for WORSHIP?! haha dude guys i can not decide between the two, ECHO PARK OR DD-6..
i need the kind of delay that sounds like the one the hillsong guy uses..the kind of delay that makes that violin-y sound..the kind of delay that sounds good with song fast worship songs and some slow ones at the same time but i JUST CAN'T DECIDE!!!!!! AHHHhhhhh
Answer:
These two threads are asking the exact same question. Merged.

They're different delay sounds. They are: Tape, Digital, and Analog. Each one changes the "mod" knob's function.
Tape - Vintage sounding. Mod knob adds wow and flutter.
Digital - Straight up, pristine echoes. Mod knob adds light chorus.
Analog (my favorite) - Thick and complex. Mod knob adds chorus.

-Nick Actually, it's analog that adds wow and flutter. Tape adds vibrato.
Either way, it's a sweet pedal. Much better than the DD-6, I think.
