Vox V848 Clyde Mcoy Wah....Is it Good?

Question:
I am looking to replace my original Jim Dunlop wah pedal with a Vox V848. Is this model good? I have read good reviews on Musicians Friend and other places about it.
Here is a link to it on MF.

Off to effects!
whooooooooosh!
Answer:
Does ANYBODY have anything to say on this pedal? Good or bad?
Answer:
Its a very good wah. Matter of fact it is the one i am planning to get when i get around to it.
Answer:
From what I understand it is pretty much a V847 but with true bypass (might be wrong though). If that is the case, then it is a good wah in my opinion (as I have a V847). Vox wahs are great for the money, but overall the sound is subject to personal opinion. I would recommend trying it out at a store before buying.

TO save some money just buy the 847 and get a true bypass mod and do it yourself and save some money if you think you can.

If you're looking to upgrade, then I would suggest going for a Buddha or RMC wah. They're more expensive, but since you're thinking about spending 150 on a wah anyway, you could save up for a wah that will leave you very happy from the start.
Vox wahs are very good sounding wahs. They have a very bluesy and sharp, clear tone. The 847 was my first wah and it was a good wah until I went for a RMC picture wah. The RMC is definitely in a class by themselves. But if you want the Vox, then definitely get the 847 and mod for true bypass with a Carling switch. I believe the 848 also has a DC jack in it so unless you defintely want both in the same package then go for the 848.

Well the only reason I am thinking of buying a vox V848 is because it is the exact same pedal as the V847 ...only with true bypass and a 9 volt adaptor jack. The two main things it HAD to have if I was gonna buy one.
Yes, Pianoman, it is the exact same pedal from what I have read.
I am not good with a soldering iron when it comes to that kind of stuff and I like the "vintage" tone, so I will probably check this out at GC this thursday and get it if I like it.
