Pedal board

Question:
I am thinking about building my own pedal board. Right now I own

5 boss single pedals(trying to sell one)
Ernie Ball volume pedal
Pro Co Rat Vintage

So I am thinking 17in X 28in Using plywood, painting it black. Maybe putting 1x2's all the way around, or some kind of trim.

For power, I have a PSA-120 for the boss, and I can power all four pedals with it. And then I will buy a power plug for the Rat, or if it will work with the boss power, just use that. Then tacking a power plug(4 plugs or so) to the top of the board to plug the boss in, the rat, and in the future, any others.

How does that sound?
Answer:
Ok, heh, I just built it. Well the wood part anyway. I am going to prime it, then I'll post some pics.
Answer:
cool
Answer:
Ok here are two pics with some of my pedals on it.

I used a textured paint, it's a little rough, it's pretty cool

Should I use velcro?? or some kind of carpet?
Answer:
where the pics
i used velcro on my board
Answer:
OK sorry, here they are...

Ya that's what I was thinking, I just thought carpet so it would get scratched up and the paint chipped. But then my pedals have a chance of falling off.
Answer:
Man that looks really cool, just as good as a pro board(almost) Nice
Answer:
Ya, it looks nice...Took a while to build though

I am maybe thinking getting some kind of carpet to go down that will work with velcro...
Answer:
My board is so sad it is just a board with a little piece of scrap wood to tilt it up and its not even painted.
did you notice we are the only 2 people that have posted in this thread
Answer:
Finished the touch up paint last night..

I have to spray paint the bottom, but I will wait till tonight or tomorrow because I have practice today, and I wanna take it.

I am thinking about going to Home Depot or something and getting some carpet like felt-velcro stuff to put down. Something so I don't scratch up the bottom, and so the pedals don't fall off. Though, I put down some awesome paint and the pedals don't really slip or anything, so that's cool.
Answer:
very nice.

Answer:
Nice pedalboard. I have also decided that when the time has come and I am using stompboxes again, I'm going to build myself a pedalboard. Only mine will be along the lines of something from Pedal Racks. What with all the wiring being done on the inside of the pedalboard and a true-bypass strip.

Hi Guys
I made my own board from 1/4" ply and 1" board cut to size around the edges. It is covered inside and out in speaker carpet which I chose because velcro hooks stuck to it. There is a matching lid lined with 1" foam which keeps everything in place. I have recently added a Boss SD-1 and a Boss DD-3 and redone the wiring with decent cable and Neutrik jacks so it is all neat and tidy.
