Best wah pedal
Question: Just wondering what you all think is the best wah pedal. I am looking for a new wah pedal. Right now, I have a Crybaby. It sounds too "thin" and twangy for me sometimes. When my foot is rocked forward, it sounds like it's shrieking to much, and when my foot is rocked back (heel down), it sounds like a dead bassy sound with lots of volume loss. So I would like a good wah pedal that still keeps a good sound, no matter what position my foot is in. Any suggestions? Answer: Check out your Clyde McCoy thread for a response. Answer: you could also have you wah modded. I believe Robert Keeley does this. www.robertkeeley.com Answer: can i ask a question?? do u know how to use a crybaby effectively to get the full usage?? no offense intended. i have a crybaby, thats how they r designed. extremely high end and extremely low end. u gotta go back and forth b/w the 2. thats really what they r made for. the middle is off course the best sounding, but that high and low is what gets u the "funk" or weird sounds on rock alot of times. Answer: dude.. the crybaby rocks.. it's a classic... i love my crybaby... wouldn't trade it for any other wah Answer: I don't do that much research about wahs, but I think the Fulltone one is suppose to be good Answer: Well, he has a point. Cry babies can get harsh in the upper registers and has been known not have as good of a vocal sweep. Easily can be fixed, but If you just want a quality wah here they are in my opinion the best: 1.Teese picture wah (Trey anastasio) 2. Fulltone clyde 3. Mutron vol/wah (discontinued, but Santana uses these) 4. Colorsound wah (I've heard this omce and it blew me away) 5. Budda Bud Wah 6.Thomas Organ Cry Baby Answer: The Danelectro Dan-O-Wah or Vox's wah are both SWEET! Answer: i cant stand the danowah. sounds like crud to me...maybe it was just the one i tried. I like my crybaby, but if they would actually come with a 9v AC jack, Id get a VOX ---†om Answer: The new ClydeMcCoy wah from Vox is equiped with a 9-Volt adaptor. And it's basically the Wah that the Tesse dude copied. Answer: Check out the new Boss PW-10 WAH...brand new, just out and sells for about $139-149. It models Vox, Morley and Crybaby, and offers several OD settings to choose from. I just got one about two weeks ago and it has a killer sound!! Good luck... Jeff Answer: does anyone know what sorts of wah Third Day uses? Answer: yeah... mark doesn't use one. Brad uses a Vox Wah (I think it's the V-whatever re-issue) on his CT pedalboard, and a Crybaby on his festival pedalboard. ---†om Answer: what about specifically in the Offerings version of Consuming Fire? Answer: the Vox V847 Re Issue. ---†om Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
