Analog sound on a digital budget.

Question:
I'm trying to find an Analog (or analog sounding) delay pedal for under $100, the problem is that my local music shop only carries Danelectro, Digitech, and Rocktron pedals...and they only have DE and digech delays in stock. The Digitech delays sound to lifeless and I have reservations about the DEs' longevity(made of plastic). It would be great if I could find a digital pedal that had the same(or close) warmth as a memory man.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I've been looking on ebay.
Answer:
the Dano PB&J has a definite warmth to it.
I've also heard the Ibanez DE-7 is a rather warm pedal as well

The danelectro sounds quite good for the price. If you had a bit more cash, the $150 Line 6 Echo Park sounds VERY analog.

Answer:
I've used an ibanez DE-7 in a few worship sets before. It has two different modes--delay and echo. The delay mode doesn't cut enough highs from the repeats, so it sounds terrible. The echo, which is supposed to mimic tape, is very nice considering the price of the pedal. Also, it has roughly a 2.5 sec max delay time. I'm pretty sure that circuit is only available in a plastic box (I don't think they make a non-"tonelock".
BOSS has several digitals delays, and I'm sure you could get one ebay for under 100$ easily. I have a friend who has a DD-3. The DD-3 is to delay what the tubescreamer is to overdrive. It doesn't sound like an analog delay, but it's a great sound for a digital delay. No "echo" mode, and the delay time is shorter. I think the DD-5 adds a longer delay time and a tap tempo mode, but is going to be more expensive.
DOD used to make an analog delay. For some reason they go on ebay much cheaper than some of the other vintage delays such as the Maxons. Here's one that's up for sale right now. But I've never used one or heard it before so I can promise you anything there.
I'm thinking about picking up a DE-7 myself, because i've been without delay since I sold my processor, and it sounds excellent for the price. Or I might get adventurous and try to build one of the PT-80's from generalguitargadgets.com

I've been using a Danelectro Dan-Echo (DE-1 I believe?) It sounds GREAT! (almost as good as the DL4 that replaced it ) Actually I still use it, for a quick, almost Chorus-eske delay. Anyway, it is really warm with a tone control to roll off some of the highs and sound very "vintage-y." I got mine of $60 new and I am a heavy delay user and it was amazingly good. In my opinion it sounds better than pretty much all delays below $150-$200, but the lack of a tap tempo hurts it a little; but the sound quality is there

Thanks for the input guys.
I think I'm going to give the DE PB&J a shot(they'll let me take it home and demo it for a week), but I'm still open to all suggestions.
Answer:
This is worth a look. Echo Park for $125 buy-it-now, including a power supply (which is essential, a battary lasts 30 minutes, seriously).
