The DL4 is on its way!
Question: Dear Fellow Guitarists, I am writing today to warn you about the slippery slope of gear purchasing (known commonly as GAS) About a year ago I purchased a Rt. 66 overdrive/compressor, a Crybaby, a Dan-Echo, and a Loop-Station. I was almost sure I would really ever NEED any other pedals. Let me tell you all now..... I was decieved. I now have ordered a DL4, and next week will most likely be ordering a Homebrew Electronics PowerScreamer, a volume pedal, and a Voodoo Labs MicroVibe. So be warned, maybe we should start a GASist's Anonymous group or something.... It's really getting bad...... A review on the DL4 coming soon! ~Jonathan Answer: Gear Aquisition Syndrome. Yes I suffer as well. My name is Dave and I am a gearaholic. Answer: Originally Posted by Maestro_dmc Gear Aquisition Syndrome. Yes I suffer as well. My name is Dave and I am a gearaholic. Everyone gets "G.A.S." every once and awhile. Answer: Originally Posted by smashing guitar Don't be discoraged. Everyone gets "G.A.S." every once and awhile. Like me. Right now. My name is Jon, and I have an issue. Answer: Okay so I ordered from a local store on Friday, but they forgot to order the DL4 so it comes today, however it is rush shipping so it'll come in the next 3 days Answer: More on G.A.S; I got paid for a concert/lock-in I went and played friday night/saturday morning. $100. So I got back home from that at 4 o'clock, I proceeded to leave for church worship practice, swing by Wilcutt's Guitar Shoppe and pick up an Ernie Ball Volume pedal (the 6166 one I believe, not the lil' one) Funny how those paid gigs work eh?? Answer: Enjoy the pedal, delay is one those effects you can never have too much of. Answer: I understand...in the last week or two, I've bought a DL-4, a Line 6 Tap Trem, a Digitech XP-100 (actually my second one), and a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power II. I keep telling myself I'm almost done...but then I think "Oh I need to buy a decent pedalboard..." and then as I'm searching eBay, "Oh, I'd really like a Fuzz Factory, and a good volume pedal could be useful, and you know, it really is a shame to have empty outlets on my power supply, maybe a phaser? And I should buy my own eBow so I can stop borrowing one..." And I get really sad when I see my name so many times on the effects list thread. What I have goes far beyond GAS at times... Answer: The DL4 came in, it is amazing, a little challenging to get started with, but not bad, well worth the investment. More on all of that when I get a few days of tweaking under my belt ~jonathan Answer: My name is Ryan and I'm too poor to have GAS, otherwise, I'd own guitar center. Answer: Well the DL4 is doing well I really love the sound, tap tempo, and the rhythmic delay (where you tap in the beat but it can give it back to you in various time signatures) it is a great tool! I have not used the loop sampler at all because I own an RC-20 loop station, but other than that I am happy with the unit and don't mind the price I paid!! Answer: Originally Posted by Rainer.
