where do I find famous people's rigs?
Question: Does anybody know of good sites that list the setups of all the pros like in a searchable/archived format? Specifically I'm looking for the setup that the bassist from Audioslave uses, and the guitarist(s?) from Throwing Muses. Answer: There's always guitar geek, though it only gets updated once a blue moon. Artist's pages sometimes have gear info, as do magazine articles. Is it the same bass player from Rage Against the Machine in Audioslave? If so, here is his gear list from Bass Player: Three Ampeg SVT-2 Pro Heads (One clean, one Overdriven, one Distorted) Mesa/Boogie M-Pulse 600 (replaced one SVT for clean sounds) Ampeg 8x10" (clean) two Ampeg 4x10"'s (dirty) Boss Delay pedal Three Way Switcher two Dunlop Bass Wah Pedals (only on overdrive and distortion channels) "custom" distortion that he supposedly built from a wah pedal (Distortion side) Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz (Overdrive side) it also looks like a Sadowsky Preamp/DI on his pedalboard, though there is no mention of it in the interview. Answer: www.guitargeek.com has a pretty sizeable collection. Answer: Originally Posted by LWatford Is it the same bass player from Rage Against the Machine in Audioslave? Answer: that's so weird... delay FIRST on a bass... i've heard of people who do industrial music (NIN & the like) putting delay before distortion, but never a bassist Answer: Originally Posted by Rainer. His Rage rig was just a pair of SVT's through two 810's. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
