Jeckyll and Hyde

Question:
Hi ready for another one of my dumb questions?
Is there a difference between the silver and red Jeckyll and Hyde pedals? Also, does anyone use the American overdrive thingy thats made by the same company as Jeckyll and Hyde? I think its called route 66 or something like that. It looks cool, but I have never heard anybody mention it. Thanks!
Answer:
while we're on this topic, does anyone have the Jeckyll and Hyde pedal? i might buy one soon, and was wondering what ya'll thought about it.
oh yeah, and i have no idea what the differences are between the silver and red pedals.
Answer:
The silver verion is the original version, the red one is the new, updated version.
Here's what the website says about the new J&H:
-New Color!
-Thicker steel housing
-Improved Pure Tone buffer circuit
-Bass Boost switch for Jekyll channel
-Increased output volume for both channels
-Upgraded capacitors throughout pedal
-Upgraded Sharp/Blunt switch
-Upgraded packaging
I've heard both versions, they sound very good. I havn't set down and played with them though, so there is only so much I can say. The Jekyll side does have that Tubescreamer tone to it, a very nice overdrive. The Route 66 is another nice sounding pedal (agian, havn't played it myself, only heard it). Phil Keaggy is using one at the moment...the overdrive side has that Tubescreamer sound, the compressor seems nice, though I dont know what I'd compare it too.
Answer:
Yeah I've heard that the Boss compressor is a piece of crap, so I was looking at other compressors, and I thought Route 66 would be cool cause my amp overdrive is terrible.
Answer:
Well being an ambassador for them LWatford summed it up nicely!
But be careful with this pedal the reminiscent's of the original TS808
tube screamer can really do some 'whoomphing' on your ears....run
your guitar through the J&H then the Rt66 and then the H20 to
your amp. You won't disappointed with visual sound gear and they'll
be the last effects pedals you ever buy!
Don't forget the use of the 1 spot it is a great piece of tech.
