I just recently aquired a PEAVEY TUBE FEX digital guitar processor and preamp. I think It may need to be sent back to peavey. when I turn It on I get no sound at all. the lights turn on and screen lights up but no sound. I only paid 45 bucks for it and figured getting it fixed shouldn't be the much and if any of yall can help i would apreciate it much.

Have you done a hard reset? Press and hold the Down and Right Cursor Keys on startup.
Hows the battery? Do you get an error message on startup?

yeah...it might just need a memory reset or something.
second, what kind of power amp are you using this with? are all of the cables you're using (guitar-->processor, processor-->power amp and power amp--->speakers) inworking order?

yeah i did a hard reset on it but it still keeps giving me the error message. Im pluging it straight to an amp right now until i get it working. the cables are all brand new patch cables. the battery might be dead. and it also may need new tubes.

Which error message would that be?

ive gotten two different messages. one says something like no tube in effect chain if I move a nob. and the other times it won't do anything it just sits there doing nothing. I can move the knobs around but nothing changes and no sound.

i just checked out the tubes today and they weren't working so I switched them around and now they work but still no sound. this is really stumping me. I guess I'll have to find a peavey dealer to fix it.
