Pedal case ?

Question:
Um, I'm in the market for a pedal case. It needs to be big enough for about maybe 5 or 6 pedals. And my price range is about 150 dollars.
Answer:
in the next week or two i hope to build a pedalboard out of a suitcase...if i'm successful at this i'll post pics...the total cost shouldn't run more than $40.
Answer:
Save your money, get a Rondo board/case. Unless you want built in power, you'll be just fine with the Rondo.

Here's mine. It's the 'medium' (no longer on the web page) with a Godlyke power supply. I just pop off the top, plug in the power and cables, and I'm ready to go!
Answer:
Check out showcasescases.com those boys are built like a tank, and very reasonably priced, only worry about the extra investment if you are serious about protecting your gear!!!

You can't get a better bang for your buck anywhere. My board is the same size as Karl's and has a Line 6 DL4 and an A/B pedal on it, too - still with room to spare

Is that all you have? I have a lot of FX, and would like to fit more than just a DL-4 and an A/B pedal.
Answer:
are the pedals attached to the lids in the Rondos? i've having trouble with the different depth measurements they give.
Answer:
well I always know that I'd rather sink more money into something that will work well and for a long time than into something I'll have to be replacing in a year, I know someone who has owned a showcase pedalboard for 15 years and it still works like new and functions like a dream.
seriously, you should check them out!

The Rondo is made out of aluminum with simple latches and some carpet material. Nothing to wear out. No, it's not a 'road case' but I don't need one. I put the top on at home, take it to church and take the top off. No reason it shouldn't last. However, if you run over it with a car, it would probably break. If you're a full-time working, touring, guitarist you'll need something that'll stand up to that environment. If you play at church and at home...not so much.
And yes, the pedals are attached to the carpet material with velcro.

1) Pacific PedalWorks A/B pedal
2) Barber Tone-Press
3) (coming soon) PPW Phaser
4) PPW 2-loop true-bypass pedal
a) Boss CE-5 (first loop)
b) Line 6 DL4 (second loop)
c) Korg GT-12 (tuner-mute)
5) Ernie Ball Vol. Jr.
Once I add the phaser in there, there won't be much left over space to work with at all. However, in reality, that's a lot of pedals in a relatively small case.
Like Karl said, unless you're an actively touring musician who throws their Anvil-style cases in the back of a big moving van when transiting between gigs, you really have nothing to worry about. It's the absolute perfect case for a church musician and/or small-time gigging musician. If I ever start getting gigs on an active basis and need something more heavy duty for abusive transit (needing to hold up to intense wear'n'tear), I'd go with an Anvil case. Until then though, I'm MORE than pleased.
Answer:
Well I kinda want more than a upside down lid for my pedal case during a gig.
