Multi or stomps or modelers or ...

Question:
I just cant seem to know what thing i want...
Ive been thinking about all of these options...
But the thing is... every1 says multieffects are like and in the other hand that stomps are more better cos then its easier to control them, but its more expensive...
We play through a pa system at church... now, isnt it better i just get a pod xt ?
What i want is to still have full control while on stage, but all must be ready to use,so like presets...
Sound is also a very important issue, im not a pro for heavy metal distortion, i more like the sound of the compact pedal SD-1 from boss , more natural sounds of distortion.
I want to use my effects at home too... easy to carry and all... thats i think the less good thing i think about stomp boxes... too many wires...
So, should i keep my money on hold to buy a pod or buy stomp boxes (this to buy the boxes i just need) or go with multipedals :s
Answer:
Well I've found this to be true. Alot of worship leaders just use a higher end multi FX . I.E. boss' GT5 and GT6,or the POD live. And it's good because it has alot of modulation for thoose crazy pastors...And a pretty sweet overdrive. I'd recomend a higher end multi FX.
Answer:
well...if you're going to get a POD, get the XT Live! because it's the XT brain in a pedalboard...makes the switching easy and it's generally just great.
that being said, i've not had alot of experience with multis except to say that they aren't for people like me who are pretty lazy and dont' really want a variety of sound. if i was only limited to a guitar and one piece of gear though, the XT Live! would be a high priority i think.
Answer:
heres my opionion....
i like the sound of line6 i have a line6 amp
but i like the sound of most boss pedals better.
but line6 has many many more efects built into a single unit.
but boss sounds better *my opinion
but boss is sooo much more expensive
but its more user freindly....
ok i would strongly dissagree with anyone purchasing a digitech multi effect
i really dont like them.
Answer:

Answer:
hmmm
i looked around other forums about the pods of line 6
now,is it true that i need a pedal board to use it live? cos thats what its meant to be used for
Answer:
it's much easier to use it live with the pedalboard though like i already mentioned the new XT Live! is both in one.
Answer:
and how about the nex gt-8
i hear its very promising
Answer:
I might get a gt5 or gt6 ...just for church....
Answer:
Do stompboxes sound different than multieffects?
Cos all i want is from boss
Its now the GT-6 or stompboxes.
I went to www.bossus.com and listened to the samples
Now, I want the sounds that these pedals give :
SD-1 overdrive
AC-2 acoustic simulator
CS-3 sustainer
TR-2 tremolo
CE-5 or CH-1 chorus
RV-5 reverb/delay
Now this doesnt mean that i will buy them all
I just like the sound they produce.
And if i (could) would buy all these pedals , are they all connectable to each other? 5 cos i saw on the boss site that some of these we're not combinable...)

I woudln't reccomend the AC-2. It may sound pretty good on the sample, but it's really quite crappy, and sounds hardly anything like an acoustic, IMHO.

Answer:
well ok
a suggestion which pedal i should replace it?
Cos i need those first two... an overdrive and an acoutic effect so...
Answer:
All stomboxes and multieffects sound different from each other. It's all about what you like and the quality of the product. On average, multieffects sound worse than individual stomboxes unless you have a POD...or maybe even boss.
These are some companies to consider for all those pedals you listed: Fulltone, analog man, Keeley, visual sound, line 6. Pedals will cost you a pretty penny so here's some advice.
1. set a budget
2. Know what you want
3. Take your time
All effects are connectable to each other by 1/4" plugs. So no worries there.
