What effect is this???

Question:
On Lifehouse's song "Spin" on the Stanley Climbfall album at the end where they are really rockin. There is a guitar or keyboard that is putting out some awesome modulation effects. If you listen it sounds like a tremolo with some sort of phase on it. Thanks Guys!
Answer:
I think it's just a straight tremelo done either with a pedal or having fun with the volume knob on the guitar. And it is a guitar.
Answer:
he used his SG into a boss dd3 (on the "hold" function that sets delays to go forever), demeter tremulator, some distortion, and a fulltone wah through this AC30 playing harmonics.

He has an AC-30? Heh, I thougt he was still using Marshalls and Tophats. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still using Marshalls though.

Well, if you've watched the video on Launch of them live in Amsterdam, than it appears that Jason is using 2 Gibson ES335's for that show. Along with Marshall amps in the background. I don't know what effects he's using though. And the other guitarist(his name escapes my memory at the moment) was using an SG and that was probably into a Marshall.
Answer:
He uses a '66 and '85 Gibson es335, '75 les paul, and '64 SG. (he prob as more)
marshall JCM 800, and a Vox AC-30
hughes & kettner rotosphere, electro-harmonix memory man, menatone king of the britans
