Peavey Jack Daniel's Amp

Question:
I just got a catalog in the mail that advertised Peavey's new "Jack Daniels" Amp. I hope I'm understanding this right... marketing an amplifier based on it's relationship to a maker of whisky???
The amp may or may not have great tone (it's a tube amp, so chances are better for it...), but doesn't it seem like you'd market an amp on the basis of its tone, not the basis of certain brands of whisky???
Nate
Answer:
It's more or less being marketed as a good bar gig amp, hence the Jack daniels...I don't think peavey would be stupid enough to try and sell the amp through the jack daniels name recognition alone.

that amp looks kinda interesting...a 30W el84 based amp
Answer:
Sometimes I wonder what Peavey is thinking...I think this falls into the same category as the "mudflap girls" on their XXX amps. Very cheesy.
They do have some other new things I want to try out:

It's a rebadged Classic 30. Same spec's (looks like they even C&P'd some of it).

That's what I was going to say. It's probably a few bux more tho... It reminds me of all the non-motorcycle related Harley-Davidson products out there. I was in Wal Mart a few months back looking for a flashlight, they had Harley flashlights. Why does anyone need the Harley Davidson logo on a stinkin' flashlight ?!
Answer:
The new Penta 5 model amp head definitely looks interesting, although the fact that it's 140 watts makes me wonder about it's uses...

I don't think so. They got Jack Daniel's Straps and picks now too. They're just being weird IMO....
