In your opinion....
Question: ....which tube amp do you consider the creamiest of the cream of the crop that you would do anything to get your hands on? Answer: After a quick trip by the store today and feasting my ears upon several of the finest, I think at the moment it would be the Mesa Lone-Star Special. I didn't have enough time to run it all the way through it's paces, but what I heard really impressed me. Nate Answer: this thread is far to open ended... that being said...i'd really like to pick up an old Fender Champ sometime...it's stupidly simple (volume, treble, bass knobs) and 6w of tube goodness. they're an excellent blues amp. Answer: Fender Deluxe Reverb Fender Tweed Deluxe (or clone...like a Victoria!) Answer: an original 59 fender bassman...and I wouldn't do anything to get my hands on it...maybe just kill a guy Answer: I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that my answer will only look like a shameless advertisement...............................honest. Answer: and so far we've generally just advertised more bluesy amps (i haven't tried the lonestar special...but i've been told that its not really a high gain beast like the dual and triple rectos). 'creamiest of the cream crop'... that sounds like a blues amp or boutique amp... is that what your looking for? or are you wondering essentially what is the tube amp you'd love to get your hands on (not necessarily cleans)? seems like a very broad and undirected question... just wondering... Hmmm...I guess you would recommend a crate or something like that right?? I'm curious. What would you have that would be similar to a '69 Bandmaster Reverb *silver face) - preferably a combo? Mine's been refitted to blackface specs in the last couple of years. Thanks. I have one. :-D I want a Rivera Quiana or Fandango, personally. But, really, I'd really love to have even a Peavey Ultra right now. Answer: Wait 'till I get to play my buddy's Orange. I'll make my decision then. Answer: Originally Posted by tht00 ok... umm... I didn't mean creamy sounding, I meant as in what you think is the best of the best of tube amps. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
