Need a Good Effects Pedal
Question: I need A Got multi Effects Pedal. A Nice Price for the qulity. Can you might show a pic or website that will be great Answer: I'm not sure what you'd call a nice price, but I've heard generally good things about the Digitech RP200A. If you want to get more pricey, there's things like The POD XT Live. -Nick Answer: You could try the GNX4. http://www.digitech.com/products/gnx4.htm If you can afford to shell out $600-$800, that is. But it's well worth the money, and you can even record on it (it required a FlashCompact card, which you buy separately). I don't know hwat you can't do on here. I have it, and it's a guitar player's best friend. Answer: The Digitech RP and GenX series are pretty good bang for the buck. Unlike some of their plastic-cased competition, these are all metal chassis - should hold up well. If its for live use, the Genx2 has the ability to turn on/off some effects within each patch - that way you don't have to switch patches say, if you want to turn on the delay or the stompbox distortion for a passage within a song. Answer: I have the RP 80. I have mix feeling about the AMP simulation. They use that for distorstion effect. It sound different when you listen on the headphone or out to stereo unit vs. to a guitar amp. It sounds like you're doing a double distortion or something. for straight to the board sound, it's great but going through the guitar amp is another thing. You are turning off the speaker cab sim when you run it thru an amp right? And turning it on when going direct? Also, if you are using an amp model for distortion, you don't want to have the amp also set for distortion, IMHO - distortion on top of another distortion usually does not sound very good. Yeah, I copy the effects setting that I like without the can sim. I would need another fuzz box if I want to use it with my amp. Even when I run them clean on the amp, it still sound different. I think they sound great if you go straight to the board. Answer: Originally Posted by audiorat1 Yeah, I copy the effects setting that I like without the can sim. I have used a couple amp sims in my RP2000 for distortion thru an amp, the Marshall, Boutique, and the AC30. I did have to tweak the parametric EQ to get them to sound right - once I did, they weren't bad - probably about as good as a pedal. Now I use an attenuator with my amp for real overdriven amp tone. I replaced the RP with a GNX2 - I use the Sparkledrive stompbox model occasionally, set pretty mild, with a lot of clean mixed in. Pedals and such just don't compare to the real thing, IMHO, they lack dynamics. Answer: I would definitely go with the PODxt Live. I'm biased because I have one, but atleast I'm speaking from personal experience. Answer: if you are on tight budget go for zoom gfx series... they are incredible for the price www.zoom.co.jp Answer: what exactly are you looking for? amp modeler(clean/distortion channels)? effects only(reverb, flanger, delay, etc...)? and whats your price range? Answer: The Price maybe $50-$200 Maybe. Just a multiy effects pedal thats all Answer: I would reccomend Boss' line of multi-effects pedals but a word of caution. Personally i have found that the cheaper multi effects pedals have tendancies to warp sounds in ways you dont want, and they can cause tons of unnessecary feedback. The cheaper ones also break, i broke one i was borrowing from a friend. Boss makes a fairly good solid metal multi-effects pedal but unless you are willing to go with the 300$+ price range i would say just put single pedals chained together I do that and it does whatever you need. You have more control with single pedals but they are irritating to setup if you do not have them in a somewhat permanent setup on a pedal board. But.., if you want a good multi-effects pedal go with a Boss God bless Answer: Well Even though all of these are great sellections got the vamp 2 virtual amplification system Thanks Any Way Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
