Splawn Custom Enclosures

Question:
I just got done ordering a custom 4x12 enclosure from Scott at Splawn Guitars. Let me tell ya, I'm excited! I can't wait to get it. The quality is impeccable. I'll let everyone know how it is when I get it. If anyone is in the market for custom made enclosures, go to splawn! Not many people know about him, but he's great, and a Christian too. I got off the phone talking with him, and he was incredibly nice and even said he would try getting the cab out to me within a week instead of 2-3 weeks because I'm going out of town in August. Really nice guy. Everyone looking for superior quality cabinets should go to him. He mods Marshall amps too and sells a lot of custom and boutique gear. www.splawnguitars.com
Sorry if this seems like spam, cause it aint. Just a friendly recommendation to any serious musicians out there looking for a cab.

Answer:
What color options did you choose?
Answer:
Black and black with silver piping. Once it gets here, hopefully before this Thursday, I'll be loading it with 4 Celestion G12H30 speakers. Mmmmmm.... I can't wait.
Answer:
I've heard some really cool things about the company. I was talking to a guy who said they were out on tour and Splawn called him up and said they liked what the band was doing and that they wanted to give him some sort of endorsment deal.
Answer:
I just got the cab today, and the quality looks impeccable. I haven't loaded the speakers in yet, but I will soon hopefully. That does raise a question though, do you guys prefer soldering straight to speaker? Or using connectors? I was gonna go for using connectors so that if I ever wanted to switch out speakers, I could do so easily. But Scott at Splawn told me to solder direct. What's the difference exactly?
Oh, and Brad, the other guitar player in my band, bought a red and black cab from Splawn too, so we both are using Splawn cabs. Maybe he'll offer us some sort of endorsement deal too? Haha, that would be awesome....
Answer:
Oh my sweet Lord. The past couple of days, my band has been able to practice full volume with my new cab. Let me just say, this cabinet sounds INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! I'm hearing dynamics in the notes I'm playing that I never even heard before. The highs and the mids sing beautifully, and the lows definitly handle the heavy distortion I'm cranking. I am literally amazed at my tone now. For those of you who may know about the recent journey I've been taking with improving my tone, I haven't even switched out my pickups yet, so the improved tone I'm hearing isn't due to that. In fact, I have the exact same rig I had before I switched cabs, and the difference is literally indescribable. So, if you're looking for a Marshall, Mesa, Soldana, etc. 4x12 or even 2x12 cabinet, don't waste your money. Splawn is where it is at!
