Officially a Tube Snob now!
Question: Hey guys! I went into guitar center thursday to buy another amp since I need another one for jamming, recording at home since my main amp stays at church. So anyway I did alot of reading on this board and i saw that you guys were fond of the Fender Blues Junior amps. So i go to guitar center for about 2 hours (I'm surprised it didn't take me longer) and I finally came away with a Blues Junior! Dang I keep getting more and more impressed with it. My pedals sound 10x better with that amp and it perfectly nails the classic rock/british rock sound. So yeah, enough about my ramblings. Defiently never going back to SS, although i have to say i was impressed by the Behringer V-ampire. Long live the Blues Junior! now go out and buy it now! Answer: cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Answer: Congrats. I too joined the legions of tube snobs when I purchased the Blues Junior's big brother, the Hot Rod Deluxe. Long live tubes! -Nick Answer: Way to go - no more pussy footing around with emulation; you have the real deal!! I don't have one, but I really like those B Jrs; great amp and not overpowered, so you might actually be able to crank it up enuf somewhere to get it sounding good. Congrats! Answer: Hey everyone, there is a chance that I might be joining the Tube Snob Club during the year 2005, probably not until sometime in the summer maybe though. I am planning on picking up a used Boss GT-3 or GT-5 sometime hopefully in the next couple of weeks. But I am also planning on finding a job and then I will be saving up for a Carvin Legacy. Yeah, so in the process, I'll have a multi-effect for delays and mod effects. Answer: I'm a tube snob without a tube amp. But yay for you! I just purchased a Carvin Vintage 16 because I play small rooms. This is Carvin's equivalent to the Fender Blues Junior. I picked the Carvin because you get more for the money, and it gets raves for its tone. Answer: Yay! We have another convert! The Blues Jr. is an awesome little amp. I wish I got that one, but mine is fine. Way to loud though... Answer: Originally Posted by Mattlock Yay! We have another convert! The Blues Jr. is an awesome little amp. Answer: since when did buying a tube amp make you a tube snob? ;-) just keeping options open :P Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
