hey guys, im getting a peavey envoy 110 for christmas its about 50 watts it has great tone! (and yes for you tube fanatics its not tube ) it has a reverb knob too. i was just wondering if anyone else knows about em or has 1 or has played 1.

actually, i've heard good thing about and from the transtube stuff... but i guess i'm not exactly a 'tube snob'...
this series would probably be my 2nd choice for an amp modeller...

I personally don't like the TransTubes. That might just be me though. I got to play one today, and I was very disappointed to find that it doesn't have a true overdrive channel. It just has one that has a low gain clean, then another channel for lead playing that just seems like it boosts gain. That might just be me though.

i havn't tried one myself... what i've heard from it are good cleans and a good lead sound... usually, the overdrives are where modelling amps flop. hmm... i'd definitly want to try one before i'd commit, but then again, i have my valvetronix, so there isn't any need
