What makes an acoustic amp good?

Question:
I have read about how acoustic amps employ horns, in addition to speakers, but what would your ideal acoustic amp include?
The reason I ask is that my next-door neighbor is a certified Fender amp tech, and he is always fixing them for musicians. Lucky me, I get to come over and jam on his amps so he can hear how they sound! He really can build almost anything, and he has access to anything Fender makes.
He's offered to build me an amp, but I don't know what to ask for. I play acoustic pretty-much only, though I have an electric. In church I only sing, but if I ever get up the guts to play too, I could play through the house system, so I probably wouldn't need it there. But I'd like to be able to play in a club-style setting (ahem, talking about the kind of space, not that I want to play in a bar).
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Answer:
i've heard the fender acoustisonic is fairly good. basically when i think of an acoustic amp, i want something that is going to project the tone of my guitar without adding anything into it.
Answer:
I have a friend who owns an acoustasonic jr. and it doesn't sound too bad. I still prefer my SansAmp Acoustic DI through a nice PA system, but that's just my preference.
