Welcome to www.thanktoday.com !!!

Looking for a wah.

Question:
Okay I know I know. "Well we have our own opoins, but what we like you might not like, its all up to what you want." i alread know thats what most of you are gonna say, so i said it so it dosent need to be repeted. Now that thats out of the way, what wah do you think i should get?
Answer:
Dunlop Crybaby. Or if you wanna spend a little more check out the Vox Wah. Both are total classics and you can't go wrong with either one.
Answer:
So whats this i hear about Crybabys having more freq. than Vox? Is this true?
Answer:
I have no idea. What I do know is that I really really like my Vox V847 wah. I highly recommend them.
Answer:
More frequency.... what? Perhaps that means a wider range of frequencies. In which case the Crybaby would give you a slightly larger "sweep" on your wah. I don't know if it's true or not.
Answer:
crybaby , vox .... will not give u a TRUE BYPASS... so when u bypass , u wil heard some stuff from vox and crybaby when u playing, so try snarling dogs Whine-o-Wah . it is pretty good
Answer:
True bypass is not as big of an issue as people make it out to be. At least to me it isn't.
Answer:
I've played my friend's Original Crybaby. It's cool, but it doesn't have that much of a range with it's wah. I'd like some Project 86 type wah, which has a really big range, not enough for the Dunlop Original.

And besides, it's like a $7 fix anyway...the thing with wahs is that there is so much you can do to get the exact sound you want out the pedal.

Answer:
Get a MORLEY! I sincerely suggest them. A good "Modern" wah sound.

Warning: Not For A Classical Guitarist.
Answer:
i'd have to disagree
i never liked morelys, and i don't find them "modern" at all
probably because there isn't really a use for the wah in modern music much anymore
Answer:
let me make my case a bit more clear:
by modern music i had bands like switchfoot or emo bands in mind. there are still some applications for wah used nowadays: mark tremonti and his solos and random wah effected runs in random rock songs. if you want randomly effected runs with a wah it's best not to go with a morely with the automatic setback ability. (i think i used "random" a bit too much in this paragraph...sry, random) My reason being that when you're doing effected runs, you'll most probably want slow sweeping motions and the morleys tend to randomly shut down (there's the word again) when i go slow. what's more is that when using the wah for "effect" you'll probably want a lot of range and i've been disappointed with the range morley gives.
but that's through my experiance, you might find morleys to be heavenly.
i'd recommend the budda wah (i think you already know i'm in love with it)
Answer:
btw... how to fix the true bypass problem.. ?
Answer:
you can get a true-bypass mod by sending it to a pedal modding business (www.robertkeeley.com) or if you have the skillz, you can do it yourself
