dunlop gcb95 wah

Question:
hey guys,
i bought a wah on ebay a while ago and when i turn it on, the volume at high frequencies is a lot higher than at the low frequencies, i mean almost piercing at highs and pretty low at lows. is this normal? or is my wah old? do i need to replace stuff?
thanks,
vcitor
Answer:
it might have something to do with your eq settings on your amp. remember that a wah basically boosts certain frequencies. if your amp is treble heavy and cut at the mids and bass, then when you tip forward the highs are going to be REALLY high and the lows are going to be really quiet.

yeah. I had the same problem till I played with the EQ on my amp.

Sounds like a Crybaby to me! Ha. The two I've had were both about the same, a good bit of low end boost, and lots of high end. I got good results using a compressor after the wah, that really evened things out.
Another "trick" is to move the pot backwards or forwards to get the exact sweep you want out of the pedal.
Answer:
great, thanks, ill try that
