Question:
On the song Peace on Third Day's Conspiracy No. 5 there is a guitar effect that clips the sound on and off with the rhythm of the song. Does anyone know what this is?
I've been told it's everything from Delay, to phaser, to tremolo. Has anyone tried to get this effect and got it right?

The TR-2? No it doesn't. I think there are some out there, but I don't know any specific ones except for the Electrix Mo-FX, which is not really a pedal, its a rack unit with delay, tremolo, and flange that you would have to use a MIDI pedal to put in a tap tempo for all 3 at once. Awesome unit, but probably not what you're looking for.

Line 6 has a new tremolo out with tap tempo...
Tremolo is one of those odd effects...in it's normal form, I don't really worry about tempo...I kinda like it to be out of tempo. But when I get into the heavy on/off sounds, I really need it to be in time.

I really don't see the purpose of tap tremolo anyway. Most of the time, tremelo is set fast, unlike a tap tempo delay that varies. Unless you can set the tempo to do 1/8 notes.....

I've actually got some pretty interesting effects setting the tremolo on my Line 6 POD quite slow. Of course, you're right, tremolo is usually fast, which makes for some pretty wild tapping
