FS: Digitech RP2000 CHEAP!
Question: I have an RP2000 for sale - $65.00 shipped. Why so cheap? There's a catch, it has a minor problem that developed a couple years ago: it has a low-level hiss. The hiss is always the same volume level regardless of the volume pedal position or any effects/distortion settings. It is not bad enuf to throw away, or justify the $100 that digitech wants to repair it IMHO. It has not gotten any worse, or changed at all in that time. You don't hear it at all while playing, just in-between tunes. In my bar-band days, I would probably have never noticed it 'cause of the ambient background noise of that type of venue. I would not recommed it for anyone who would plan to use it in front of an amp with the gain way up, or for any serious recording. It works great for a headphone amp, casual home recording, driving a clean amp or direct to a PA - the signal to hiss (noise) ratio is in a useable range for those apps, especially if you feed it a healthy (strong) signal to the input. It has the revision B chip installed, everything functions well. The modelling is decent, although I don't use it for that. The effects quality is prretty good; the reverb is ok, tremelo sounds like a Fender amp (great), delay is nice, wah is good, flangers/chorus/phaser are good I guess - I don't use them. the RP2000 is a great all-round efeects + modelling unit. It works great for performance, since you can put it into the FX mode and individually toggle on/off the individual effects - compressor, delay, Mod/other effect, and toggle between two amp models. I use one amp "model" bypassed (natural tone), and the other in lieu of an overdrive. It is in great condition; used but not abused. It comes with the manual, original box, and 2 power supplies - the original one that falls out of the original connector all the time (major design flaw) that you can use if you want since I did not disable that in any way, and one that I put a Molex connector on and ran a lead out of the chassis that won't fall out. Send me a PM if interested. I can accept Paypal or a check/money order. Answer: Just wondering if you still had this. Originally Posted by Major Tom I have an RP2000 for sale - $65.00 shipped.
