What do you guys think of this?
Question: http://www.musictoyz.com/guitar/pedals/tip.php It looks like a back-saver for us older guys who can't bend down to tweak our pedals anymore. Answer: haha...I've seen those before. They're supposed to be really good for tweaking effects in real time. I think Drew Neal was talking about doing some mods on his Big Muff Pi that wouldn't be necessary if he had one of these. Answer: Hmmm...that is interesting. It doesn't look like it would be too hard to build either. I've got a ratcheting screw driver that has an extension cable on it. The extension is a flexible hose where the outside stays put, but the inside turns with the screw driver. I bet that cable could be easily modded to come up with something like this...hmmm Answer: With my RP250 I can assign any effects parameter I want to the expression pedal for the same results. Come on, presbystrat, you should know that multi-effects pedals sound terrible. I can't believe anyone would think they can get anything close to professional sound from them. *end sarcasm* Seriously though, same thing with XTL. The expression pedal is quite useful. Looks cool on the surface...but it only works for one pedal, and one aspect of that pedal at one time. What if I've got 3 pedals (each with 2 settings to be adjusted)? I supposed it's more for the "adjust all the time" stuff, eh? Answer: Wonder if you could use this on a one channel amp? That would be interesting crank the gain for OD and lower for clean....of course then there might be a volume difference. Plus it looks like you would need a longer one. Answer: Originally Posted by asiammyself Wonder if you could use this on a one channel amp? Answer: My guitar instructor (an ex-session player from nashville) has had a prototype of this for about a year. He uses it along with a Keeley modded Sparkle drive. By using the 3rd hand on the "clean" control (the one that blends back in clean signal) with GREAT results... definitely a cool idea! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
