There's a classified ads forum on CGR where this would be much better suited. Not everything goes in General Discussion.

yeah well i put it there to. (i think i did) but thanks for the thought.
Answer:
That's called "cross-posting," it's against the rules.
It's where it's supposed to be now but in the future try to post things where they're supposed to go. In other words, classified ads in the classified ads forum and only in the classied ads forum.

Answer:
No he isn't, but he is a mod, which means that he can move stuff around, delete posts, etc. The founder of the site is Mickey.
I also suggest that you check out the site rules of conduct, which you can find in the menu bar at the top of the screen. It's a relatively short easy read and should help you get aquainted with the site.

You can buy DI boxes for hours from various companies for 20 bucks easily...probably some even less than that. Alternatively you could even get an adapter for XLR female to 1/4" male TRS plug and it should work.

Well there's the DI20 by Behringer at Musician's Friend. It's 25 bucks (used to be 20 that I recall) and it's actually TWO DI's in one box. The adapters I was talking about you can find at Radio Shack...just tell them you want something that will let you plug your 1/4" guitar cable into the end of an XLR cable and they'll show you what you need.
