I've turned to the dark side.
Question: I've decided that a POD xtl will just be so much more convenient. Having a whole rig onstage at church will pretty much be impossible. There's barely any room for me with just an amp. I found on MF that a blem POD xtl is almost $100 cheaper than a new one. There aren't any in stock, but that doesn't matter, because I will have to save some more money before I can justify it to my mom. So, this will be my POD questions thread. I only have one right now, but I'm sure I'll have more later. Is it possible to run the POD directly into the system, and into an amp, to use as a monitor? Answer: Is it possible to run the POD directly into the system, and into an amp, to use as a monitor? Yes. Answer: congrats, you could also use the headphone jack to use headphones on stage as monitors...thats what im doing now, but it makes you feel like you have a tail.. The down side to this is that you're only hearing yourself in your headphones, not the full mix. Answer: Originally Posted by Rainer. Yes. Awesome. Answer: Originally Posted by Benny Hicks The down side to this is that you're only hearing yourself in your headphones, not the full mix. Yea thats true, It does kinda stink...I only listen to the guitar through one ear so I could attempt to hear everybody else through the other, but I agree its not the same...man I wish my church had in ear-monitors, That would rock big time. Answer: i am using a pod in church right now and i go straight into the PA. sounds good, and i'm sure it could be better with proper tweaking, but i really miss my analog set up Answer: I believe there are two chord outputs....there is also midi and usb outputs and headphones plug in..... Answer: Another one bites the dust... Answer: Originally Posted by Ryan Freeland Another one bites the dust... Knock it off. The reason I've been holding out is that I like the idea of having everything separate footswitch, but I realized that I would probably only need one distortion pedal and one mod effect in a song, so it doesn't really matter. Answer: Yup - I came to that same conslusion, and it was a big factor in my choice. All I need is an OD and a delay pedal and I'm good to go. Have fun with it - POD XTLs rock! Answer: Heh, I told my mom, and she is a little skeptical. I told her that I wouldn't need any more pedals, besides that, though. It should be fine, as long as I don't want to make any other large purchases any time soon. Answer: Well, there's always something more to pick up.
