I Ordered The Fish N Chips
Question: Yeah I Ordered The Fish N Chips Last Night So It Might Be Here Tommorow but atleast sometime this week. my amp has crappy eq and i want more eq control anyways so I got this. so when it comes in and I get to play with it I'll let everyone know how it is. Answer: You wont be disaapointed. It's effect (like any EQ done correctly) is subtle but powerful. I use it to EQ and boost my sound a bit and i've got it around the middle of my chain after my overdrive/distortion. -shane Answer: Yeah I was thinking of putting it before my chain but then I was reading alot of people put it after the OD and distortion to flavor the distortion and stuff. So I think I'm going to try that cause I useally have problems with the mix when i got the OD and Distortion going cause there's no eq's on the effects. So I'll play with it a bi. Answer: I like the BBE Sonic Stomp alot better, but thats just my opinnion. I hope this suits you well. If you need an EQ though, how does the Sonic Stomp address that? You just compared two pedals that serve different purposes in a signal chain. Answer: The Sonic Stomp is an EQ. You have your highs and your lows, and it has more detail with the Sonic Stomp. Answer: Originally Posted by TimGuitar05 The Sonic Stomp is an EQ. Unless I'm missing something, the Sonic Stomp has a Low Contour and a Process knob...I don't know how that equates to a being the same as a 7-band EQ pedal. What the Sonic Stomp claims to do is completely different from an EQ pedal. Answer: yeah i saw that for the sonic stomp and they are a huge diffrence I agree. Plus we had the rack unit for the bbe sonic maxamizer and church on the bass and I played with it never was a big fan but I've never tried the stomp box. But I've looked it over and know its diffrent and what it does. Answer: doesn't the bbe sonic maximizer simply adjust your signal so that the speaker plays the trebles and basses insync or something? i'm going to echo what thesteve said, and say that they're different beasts. I have heard great things about the bbe sonic stomp though. I think daniel carson (Chris Tomlin's guitarist) uses one. Answer: can someone give me the real defintion of eq (so i can understand it correctly) Answer: EQ refers to an Equalizer which boosts or cuts the various frequency ranges which make up a tone. In the case of the Fish and Chips, there are seven different frequency ranges which allows for a lot of fine tuning. A simple EQ would be the bass, mid and treble knobs on your amp. Answer: Well It Came today and I have to say. i dont notice the diffrent between this and the boss ge-7 except price. and man I turned it on and mixed my stuff and i cant and dont want to turn it off it makes everything sound so so so much better. it rocks its definitley worth the price.
