Digitech RP100A
Question: My local store has a sale on this. I was wondering if anyone had this and liked it. I don't really need too many effects or anything i would just like a good delay and maybe a good distortion out of it. I currently use a line 6 sypder 2 15 watt at church and i was wondering if this would be good. Of course i would plug it directly into the mixer if i got one of these. I have a Epi Les Paul Standard if that makes any difference. And they are selling it for $79 CAD. Thanks Answer: I have the Digitech RP300A, and in my personal expierence Digitech didn't have good products for the old RP models. If your going to get a Modeling Processor from Digitech, get the Workstations or the POD XTL if you can afford it. Answer: Get the RP150, 250 or 350. They are the new line and they are much better. They sell for the same price that the old RP's sold for but have an improved chip and more features. I have compared the new RP's with the GNX3000 and could not tell any difference in modeling quality. Answer: thats intresting i dont know if they are the sma eprice right now though cuase the stores normal price for the RP100 is 119 and its on sale for 79 mind you its canadian prices Answer: Originally Posted by joshua.lee.90 thats intresting i dont know if they are the sma eprice right now though cuase the stores normal price for the RP100 is 119 and its on sale for 79 mind you its canadian prices Yes, the old models are reduced price because they are on close out. They are not making them any more. The new ones are well worth the extra $30. I bought an RP250 used off of Ebay for $99. You may also want to check out the Zoom G2's which are also $99. I have been using its acoustic brother, the A2, and I found that some of the effects were better than the Digitech. I never got a chance to try out the G2 because I couldn't find any locally. The chips in the G2 certainly have the best performance specs out of any of the modelers including the XTL. Answer: I had one. It was ok for practicing at home, messing around, etc. but I am not sure I'd ever gig with one. They sound very - processed to me. I like a more natural sound. Answer: Was thinking about going with a tube amp and POD XTL, but after reading the recent reviews of the RP series in Guitar One I have been rethinking it. Are the new RP series that comparable? Is either one better than the other? Would one be better with a tube amp than the other? I wouldn't compare it to an XTL; I think they are in a different league. I think the quality of sound may be comparable. The XTL probably has better effects and more features. I found that the sound quality of the new RP was very similar to the sound quality of the GNX3000's which are comparable to the XTL's. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
