Stainless Steel Slide vs. Glass Slide

Question:
I'm pretty sure this goes here, it is for accessories.
I'm thinking of buying a Jetslide, as I'm a big fan of playing slide but I have the obvious problem of every other slide player. I've played bottleneck slides, but I've never played stainless steel for very long. Would the glass slide sound warmer or be too muddy? Would the steel be direct or too tinny?
Thanks for any help!

Answer:
What kind of guitar and pickups are you using? I like a glass slide on my tele with single coils and a steel slide on my les paul with buckers.
Answer:
Depends on what style and tone of slide playing you'll be doing. I've always felt metal slides are nice for blues, and glass slides fit more of either the country or rock sorts of things. I like having the option of both.
Answer:
I would go for glass slides whatever. I like a mellower tone anyway for blues. Try some out.
Answer:
I'll be playing an acoustic with a piezo bridge.
Answer:
personally I like glass for electric and metal for acoustic. Glass doesn't seem to have the weight I like for acoustic.
